Buffalo Wild Wings Fandamentals
For March Madness, Buffalo Wild Wings wanted to introduce its popular TV character, Coach, to audiences in the digital space.
To further the story of Coach, and enhance the audience's tournament experience, we created a multichannel interactive campaign that centered on him doing what he does best: teaching lessons and running drills. We called it Fandamentals.
The cornerstone of the campaign was the responsive Fandamentals website. The site featured a series of short instructional videos in which Coach teaches how to make the most of the tourney. The videos were contextually released on the site, and on B-Dubs social properties, at relevant points in the tournament. Finally, mobile ads served a game where Coach tested how well fans could follow hoops action across screens – putting his lessons to use.
